Sarah, nourrice à Antwerpen

Hello,

I'm Sarah, 26 years old and originally from the UK. I've spent the past three years working as an au pair in both The Netherlands and Belgium and have now permanently settled in Antwerp. I can speak Dutch at an intermediate level, my understanding of the language is good, and I am continuing to learn.

I grew up in a very large family and children have always been a part of my life. I'm a responsible and good humoured individual, children respond well to me and I thoroughly enjoy being around them. I'm patient but firm with children, I like to tell jokes and have fun at the same time as making sure that homework is done, toys are tidied away when not being used etc.

Some favourite activities to do with children:
- cooking - baking cakes, home made chicken nuggets, etc.
- outdoors - playgrounds, bike riding, going to the zoo
- indoors - Lego, arts and crafts, face painting, board games
- swimming

I have extensive experience in driving with children although I do not have my own car. In my last job I was often alone with the children for a week or so at a time and that presented no problems for me.
