Hello! My name is Danielle. I have just turned 35 years old in March. I came to Belgium from the US 2 years ago and have been working in people's homes as a cleaning woman. I have worked in mostly banking, finance, and insurance before moving to Belgium.
I used to care for many of the children of my mother's co-workers when I was younger. I also cared for my little brother. I am 16 years older than him! And I have cared for my own daughter, who is now 9 years old.
In October I had a very bad bike accident on the way to my work. I had to have surgery and am still working to walk normally. I am currently still on 1 crutch, but should be off of it by Mid-May. I do not see that it would be possible to return to such difficult work as cleaning homes for 8 hours per day, nor did I plan to do it forever. I would very much love to be doing something enjoyable with my life and I love children!
The highlight of my week of cleaning every week was in the home of my client who has 2 little girls. She has an adorable little 1 year old and a 4 year old. I have dearly missed them since I have been stuck at home! They are growing before my eyes online! It would be wonderful to be a part of a family like this again where my focus would be solely on the children instead of balancing the cleaning. I love artwork, singing, playing games, spending time outside, puzzles...all sorts of things!
I am very willing to travel to other areas of Belgium by train, or car eventually, but will ask that the travel cost is covered. Thank you for taking the time to read about me! I look forward to hearing from you soon!
